Mark and Con started PotShots Photography – Where Great Images Happen in East Orlando, Florida in 2001. Specializing in photojournalism, their guiding principle is photography isn’t just about ‘taking pictures’ but about having “an eye” for choosing and presenting a subject to achieve a particular effect: art, romance, and above all, a passion for working with couples.
Married 26 years (and counting!), they work together as a “Couple of Photographers”—providing two styles, two vantage points, a best of both worlds male-female perspective that guarantees two different stories in a single event, memories for a lifetime.
Mark, with more than 40 years of worldwide photography experience, is well traveled, creative, energetic and persistent…a master of the “au natural.” He will capture the grand events of your wedding. Con has the knack for helping you feel welcome and will lovingly record the subtle details of your special day.
In 2003, they expanded their location photography services to include family and executive portraiture, business and corporate events, conventions and trade shows, advertising, editorial, maternity and aerial photography. Then as now, their goal is to provide any occasion photography with above and beyond service at affordable rates.
Mark studied graphic design at New York Technical College and Pratt Institute. Assignments have taken him from the streets of New York to the front lines of the Middle East. Clients include American Me etings International, American Cancer Society, Boy’s and Girl’s Club of America, City of Orlando, East Orlando Chamber of Commerce, Florida Heart Group, Florida Bar Association, Florida Hospital, Main Sail Development, March of Dimes, National Vietnam War Museum, Orange County Public Schools, Orlando Utilities Commission, Orlando-Sanford Airport, Quebecor World, Ritz Camera, Waterford Lakes Town Center, West Orlando Chamber of Commerce, WKMG TV 6, Woodlawn Memorial Park, Woolbright, Z88.3 Christian Radio.
Mark and Connie’s photography has appeared in numerous regional and local magazines including Lifestyle, Insight, Moms and Me, The Orlando Sentinel, The Orlando Business Weekly, The East Orlando Sun, The Longboat Key Observer. Their photography has been featured in the book, Destination Orlando by Destination Media Group where Mark served as Senior Staff Photographer. Mark is a “featured photographer” of Photographers Without Borders and his photographs have been displayed at the Orlando Museum of Art. Mark and Connie serve as ‘Official Photographers’ for Covenant House FL.
Mark periodically journeys to the Middle East where he documents life in the Holy Land. He plans on publishing these images along with interviews, letters and poetry in an upcoming coffee table book, Hope Endures: The Bitter & Sweet of life in the Promised Land.
Con, a native Floridian, is the Coordinator-photographer for PotShots. When not shooting around town, she’s up to her neck in e-mails, phone calls and correspondence. She’s a mostly self-taught photographer who has developed a uniquely sensitive, intimate style of photography. Her people skills and heart bring a warm and personal touch that has been enjoyed and remembered by clients, family and friends for years to come. Con has been published as a contributing photographer in Destination Media Group’s “Destination Orlando” Coffee table book.
Mark and Con continue to explore opportunities in nature and environmental photography. They frequently donate their time and talents to not-for-profit organizations like Covenant House.
