Where Great Images Happen

Home

Mark and his wife Connie own and operate PotShots Photography in East Orlando.   Married for more than 27 years, they work together as a “couple of photographers,” they are “Doin’ what they love and lovin’ what they do!”

They specialize in location photography. Photography services include wedding, family and executive portraiture, business and corporate events, advertising, editorial and aviation photography.

Mark comes from the Bronx, New York. He often found himself peering through a different pair of glasses than everyone else. Driven by a strong need for self-expression, he often “doodled” his way through school.   After studying graphic design in college, he took up photography and began his real education during eye-opening world travels and a variety of assignments while serving in the Armed Forces.

These experiences plus the subsequent years spent in public education and traveling the Middle East further defined his perspectives, intentions and dreams.
Mark was greatly influenced by Vietnam War photographer Larry Burrows. He disciplined himself to go for less photographic “structure” (rules and technique) so he could take advantage of opportunity (“People and events don’t wait!”).   Mark believes you have to start with a vision, end with getting it right in the camera and strives to not get lost looking through the lens.   He loves getting “up close and personal.”

Mark is creative, energetic, eccentric and persistent. For the past 10 years he’s been fulfilling his life’s dream: creating an epic photo-narrative documenting life in the Holy Land.

Connie, born in Bradenton, Florida, has been Mark’s photo assistant for more than 20 years and is now an accomplished photographer. She’s outgoing, serene, extremely caring and rescues stray critters.

Mark and Connie frequently donate their time and talents to not-for-profit organizations like the American Cancer Society, Covenant House Florida and veteran’s organizations.
